It’s 34 degrees this morning in the Treasure Valley.  And a cool 27 in Poky, 24 in IF,  Northern Idaho, its 32 this morning in CDA and a bit colder in Sandpoint with snow across the state…. Afternoon temps will hit the 30s and 40’s. But a bit warmer on Sunday

On to the markets:

Corn closed the Thursday session with losses of 7 to 9 cents in the front months. Dec. 20 opens up this morning at $4.08, down 9 cents,

Domestic wheat market falls into the red this morning:

Dec 20 CBOT Wheat closed at $5.88 1/4, down 9 3/4 cents,
Dec 20 KCBT Wheat closed at $5.44, down 10 1/4 cents,
 Dec 20 MGEX Wheat closed at $5.49, down 6 cents,

Over in Blackfoot:

 - Soft White Wheat | 4.51 | down 17
 - Hard Red Winter | 5.12 | down 16
 - DNS 14% | 5.27 | down 11
 - Hard White | 5.12 | down 16

Milk is still steady thanks to strong retail demand, now trading at  23.41 per hundredweight. Up 14 cents this week.

Friday morning trading opens with fat cattle futures mostly in the red, with losses of 10 to 47 cents. August ’21 fats ended a nickel higher. Feeder cattle futures open the session up 50 to 60 cents, except for a 52 cent drop in November contracts. The CME Feeder Cattle Index was another $0.73 higher at $136.70. 

Idaho Hay, supreme quality trading at  $180, good quality going for $160 demand strong.
