The role that occupational health and safety programs play in a country's economy and society is a critical one. This is true throughout the world. During the World Congress on Safety and Health in Singapore in early September, it was noted that Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong asks to be told about every single occupational fatality that occurs in his country.
