I Think We Should Talk Presents... Life Lesson 2 Being Content

Ever feel like there's this constant pressure to have your cake and eat it too? I always feel like in life there's this expectation to be doing better at all times-- to have a better job, to make more money, to be more fit, the list goes on and on. And the thing is, progress is a good thing, but I think that sometimes it's important for us to remember that we are FULLY deserving of love and happiness at any phase of the process. You should still get to treat yourself to a cute outfit even if you haven't lost all the weight. You still deserve to feel happy after a bad breakup. You still deserve to have moments of peace in situations of chaos and stress.

Life is all about balance. And I think the important thing is that we find little ways to thrive in our contentment. We should be celebrating the little victories, and taking care of ourselves when we feel down, when we don't feel like we're at the top of our game.

This weeks' episode is all about being content with where you are, what you have, and knowing when it's time to do better for yourself, not because someone else wants you to, but because you want it!
