In this episode the boys are joined by Nic Blanchet. They chat to Nic about his varied experiences - specifically his focus on learning and growth both personally and with his team, the importance of listening to different views and opinions even if you don’t agree with them, especially important when managing multiple stakeholders - politicians, the public, different interest groups and a variety of businesses and sponsors.

Nic served as an aircraft engineer in the RAF for ten years straight out of school. Subsequently gained a joint honours degree and masters degree in conservation biology. Worked in field sites in Venezuela and Surinam. Came to Canada in 2001, worked with Nature Conservancy of Canada finishing up as manager of science and conservation planning, became Executive Director of Friends of Fish Creek in January 2012.

Fish Creek Park is an urban provincial park that preserves the valley of Fish Creek in the southern part of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is bordered on three sides by the city, and on the west by the territory of the Tsuu T’ina First Nation.
