Marci and Tony talk about Wills, why you need one, and how Representation Agreements are different.

Key Points

[1:10] Why do I need a will?

If you have kids, it’s a must.
Having a will can save you 1000s on probate fees.

[4:15] Can someone do their own will?

Yes, but there is a danger.
You can fix your own car and do your own home repair. But, will you do it like the professionals.

[5:00] What are some of the dangers of not having a will?

If children are involved, the government has to step in.
Same with assets; the government has a formula for dividing assets after you pass when you have no will.

[6:20]  What’s the processes like when someone comes to your office to get a will done?

Usually, we will simply email them a form and then go over it with them over the phone (or in person)

[7:05] The original of your will should be kept in a safe place.
[7:37] What is a Representation Agreement?

A Representation Agreement is like a Will but it deals with health and wellness issues.
