I'm joined this episode by the extremely talented digital media artist, occasional podcaster, and graphic designer Jack Grimes (Twitter, Instagram, website), who's here to talk about his many, many attempts and failures - some far more embarrassing than others - to create viral content on Tumblr during his high school days, one online success and one local success that created a big change in his community. We also talk about Italians in Japan and why one Barcelona midfielder is a huge hit over there.

Jack has a new podcast, The Best Thing Ever, coming out soon! It's an attempt to find out what thing lives up to the title of the podcast and I'm one of the guests on the first episode! Subscribe now on iTunes or Spotify to listen when it drops!

I Like Your Shoelaces is a deep dive into all the hilarious, surreal and possibly illegal stuff that happened during the blogging platform Tumblr's heyday. Each episode, I am joined by a guest to talk about an event or trend from Tumblr that still sticks with us to this day, as well as what they got out of their time on Tumblr and what it meant to them. My Twitter is @michael_cfg and if you have any suggestions for future content, please let me know!

I Like Your Shoelace's logo was designed by the extremely talented Michael Taylor, who can be found on Twitter here. The music used in the introduction is "Drifting Korners" by Joseph McDade, who can be found here
