Dr. Kimberly Waaso is a Native Michigainder, born and raised in Southwestern Michigan, fun fact, in high school she was Miss New Buffalo, LOL. She first obtained a nursing degree and worked as a Registered Nurse for a few years before making the decision to go to medical school. After completing medical school, she did her residency at Michigan State University in Emergency Medicine and have practiced as a board certified  Emergency Medicine physician for 25 years! Most of her professional work as a physician has been in Texas, her other home state! In addition to running around the crazy ER as a physician, she is also an Associate Professor at Sam Houston University School of Medicine, and a Medical Director for Atascocita Fire and EMS in suburban Houston, Texas.    Waaso and her husband Greg and now split their year between Texas and Michigan. They have 3 adultish kids, and a rescue dog named Max! She loves anything in the great outdoors. Waaso's  appreciation of nature and art is what balances the stressors of medicine for her.
