Two outstanding guests from Asheville today: Christian Lee and Moira Gorree. Christian is a 5 year comic from Puerto Rico, now living in Asheville. In addition to standup, Christian creates great comic art you can check out @pixelateforwork, and is a yo-yo aficionado. Moira is one of the top Asheville comics. She’s been doing standup for 6 years and has opened for Maria Bamford and Shane Torres. We sat outside the Odd in Asheville and had a lot of fun on today’s episode. We chat about where we were during 9/11, why every southern VCR came with a copy of Remember the Titans, learn about the colonization of Puerto Rico, Christian’s affinity for yo-yo’s, and they teach me why Ronald Reagan sucks. We also get Moira and Christian’s comedy advice, and I make them give me reasons why they’re hopeful about the future. Check them out…they’re both hilarious.
