Next Episode: Ep 176: Eric Bell

Amir K is an Iranian-American comedian that starred on the cast of CW’s MADtv, appeared on Comedy Central, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, TruTv’s Comedy Knockout, and more. Amir is also an actor that’s starred in The Pyramid and won a SAG award for his role in Argo with Ben Affleck.

Amir is also the host of the podcast “Salty Locks” and has a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science. And if that wasn't enough, Amir is a polyglot.

Amir joins Stephen to talk about:

-how Amir is taking time during the pandemic to recalibrate and focus on things like improving family dynamics.

-how standup has made Amir more articulate (and how he’s still working on it).

-why Amir started the podcast “Salty Locks” and where he wants to take it in the future.

-the art of riffing on stage and how it can take comedy to the next level.

-how Amir’s approach to comedy allows his fans to come see him night after night.

Then the two get into some self-help, including getting inspiration from a robot, how to make a painting for your boyfriend when you don't know how to paint, and the do's (or do-do's?) and don't's of colonoscopy prep.
