On Friday, January 25, 2019, former Nebraska Football Coach Tom Osborne used his public influence to speak against the legalization of medical marijuana. You can see some of his comments by clicking here

As of right now 33 states and the District of Columbia allow for weed to be used for medical reasons. A handful of other states allow for it on a restricted basis. It should be noted that we just aren't talking about smoking a joint to ease someone's pain and suffering.  Medical marijuana would also include the use of cannabis oil which is used for anxiety, insomnia, joint and muscle pain. Cannabis oil is used by patients that have severe epilepsy.

Tom Osborne is a doctor, but not a medical professional. On this edition of the Husker Doc Talk Podcast presented by the Rimington Trophy, a real medical Doctor, Rob Zatechka gives his expert opinion on medical marijuana. Is it safe? Is it a gateway drug? Should it be regulated by the FDA? What about the opioid crises in America? These are all questions answered in this podcast.

*Programming note. The music is way too loud at the beginning of this podcast; it gets a lot better after the first 30 seconds.
