Every church has a culture.

Every church culture happens either by default or design.
If not by default, it will eat the vision.

Many people need to belong before they can believe, and everyone who believes needs to belong so that they can become.

Belong Stage involves:
- Life Group
- Life Class
- Freedom Weekend

Lot attracted strangers. Sodom attacked visitors.

Father had an invitational attitude
The older son was indifferent in his attitude

People aren’t looking for a friendly church they are looking for friends in the church.

If I can’t connect with everyone it shouldn’t stop me from connecting with someone.

1. Some people will never believe until they belong

Jesus invited disciples to follow before they believed (Mt 4:19)
Jesus asked to remove the stone before He spoke the word to the dead man.

John 11:39
2. Some people will never become if they don’t belong

Isaac and Ishmael had the same father but were raised by a different mother.

Galatians 4:22
3. People need pastors, not just pasture.

Belonging requires compassion and connection.

God is looking for laborers, not just more leaders.

We are laborers of love (Heb 6:10; 1 Th 1:3)
