Pastor Vlad shares a powerful message about the power of Holy Spirit and how we are called to walk with Him in life - the importance of speaking in tongues and giving Him room to move in our lives.

Notes:

Pentecost Powers our Purpose

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8

We can’t get more of the Spirit, but we can know the Holy Spirit more.
We can’t receive more of the Holy Spirit, but we can release more of the Holy Spirit.

We received the Holy Spirit at salvation.
We must release the Holy Spirit by surrender, speaking, and sharing.

1. Surrender to the Holy Spirit

Substitutional death of Jesus gave me salvation. Substitutional life of the Holy Spirit gives me transformation (Gal.2:20).

The law demands but the grace supplies. (Ex. 32:28; Acts 2:41)

It's not about fighting the lust of the flesh so that we can walk in the Holy Spirit. It's about walking in the Spirit so that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Gal. 5:16).

You can't remove the darkness with a shovel.

2. Speaking in Tongues

Speaking in tongues:
A. Brings rest and refreshing (Is. 28:11-12)
B. Builds our faith (Jude 1:20)
C. Worship God (John 4:24; Acts 10:46)
D. Blesses God, Sing, Give Thanks (1 Cor. 14:15)
E. Make intercession (Rom. 8:26)

3. Sharing the Good News

Power of life and death is in the tongue (Prov. 18:21)

Lo is for those who go (Matt. 28:19-20)

The great commission is not for those in full-time ministry; it's for all the full time Christians.

4. Supernatural Expectation

Make room for the Holy Spirit by praying bold prayers.

Believers prayed for boldness, not safety (Acts 4:29)

Don’t limit the Spirit by small dreams.

Yes, again and again they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His power: The day when He redeemed them from the enemy, Psalm 78:41-42

Make space for the supernatural by expecting big things.
