What do you do when all hope is lost?
Sometimes our expectations can lead us to disappointment.

You may be waiting on a situation but it took a turn for the worse.
Maybe a family member is sick with cancer, your marriage is struggling, you got fired from your job or something else. It may seem like God abandoned you. But He didn't.

God didn't say that you wouldn't go through trials, but He DID promise that He would be with you in the midst of them.

May your hope and faith be lifted today as Brittany Hartikainen brings a message that hits close to home in her own life.

Notes:

Exodus 16: 1-8
Sometimes our expectations can lead us to disappointment.

God always prepares us for the seasons ahead, even when we don’t feel like it.
God is always speaking.

There are some trials you can’t avoid.
God thinks only good thoughts about you, you will know that He will never harm you.

God is not mad when you feel disappointment.

You might FEEL disappointed, but you will never BE disappointed.
God’s promises are yes and amen, His Word is incapable of returning void or empty.

Your feelings hold no moral value.

I cannot control what I feel; I can only control how I react.
I choose how to go through my trial, God gives us power in that choice.

John 16:33

Jesus bore the shadow of darkness so that in our darkest hour, we could dwell in God’s glorious light!

There is no earthly sorrow that Heaven does not feel. Your pain is God’s pain.

God’s Word is alive! It is fresh today! His Word is reliable because it does not change.

Don’t let your focus be on what is happening around you, but look at what is happening within you. You will find Jesus there.

In your uncertainty, you can be certain about one thing – things will turn out better than you
could have ever expected.
