Why every GM on a podcast ever has been wrong about USPSA politics

Lets face it - they're an insular lot focused on the ground immediately in front of them.  Carry Optics wouldn't be a thing.  Flashlights would have been disastrous rather than a total non-issue.   GM's are great at competing but completely out of touch with what the sport needs to prosper.

Having one match to crown a national champion doesn't really encourage participation in the sport and limits the ability to create a story about the year - would USPSA be better with a "series" to crown a national champion?
