Mark Cavagnero FAIA - Founding Principal of Mark Cavagnero Associates Architects. Among many achievements, Mark has personally been recognized with the AIACC 2010 Distinguished Practice Award and the AIACC 2015 Maybeck Award for outstanding lifetime achievement.

Mark designs tremendous civic and cultural projects like the SF Jazz center and East Bay Center for Performing Arts as well as community centers, museums, and hospitals. All places where people interact and a lot of cultural activity is made.
Mark is absolutely outstanding. In this episode we talk about designing for such impactful projects (and how you can too), his progression from hard working student to the place he is now, and how we can think more than just the aesthetic of a building.
