Troy's Menn Gives Update On Lead In Water Pipes

the City of Troy has found elevated lead levels in some of the 60 homes and buildings they tested throughout the city. The city said that the higher readings may be due to lead water service lines or interior lead plumbing. City Councilmember Emily Menn discusses what households can do to test their water for lead and explains what government funding is available to replace lead pipes. The City asks those living in homes built prior to 1975, and who have not had a water service inspection, to contact the Department of Public Utilities at 518-237-0343.
