Troy Library "Black August" books and more

To celebrate "Black August," hear about two books related to the marginalization of Black women, and new trends towards diversity in book cover designs. Chloe Whittaker, Adult Services librarian at Troy Public Library, discusses those plus an 8/29 event on historic "Sustenance and Style" in the Hudson Valley, and the technology help available every Thursday morning at the main branch. The books are "Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women that a Movement Forgot" (Kendall, 2020) and "Twisted: The Tangled History of Black Hair Culture" (Dabiri, 2020).
