Dr. David Carpenter will be recognized for his decades of public service when he receives the “Good Trouble Award” at an event at The Sanctuary for Independent Media, 3361 6th Ave., Troy on Sunday, March 19 at 2 PM. Carpenter, an environmental health expert, was subjected to academic restrictions by SUNY Albany due to pressure from corporate polluter Monsanto. SUNY was quickly forced to reverse its position after its actions became public. Sarah Otaru, a Ph.D. student with Dr. Carpenter, talks about his value as a teacher with Mark Dunlea for the Hudson Mohawk Magazine.
