In this segment of Reclaiming History, Lovonia Mallory covers the Northeastern Woodworkers Association NWA’s speakers series “Concealed Dovetails”, where master woodworker Kuniaki Kishi of Tokyo, Japan; demonstrates how to build a concealed blind dovetail joint using Japanese saws, to plane, and join to wooden surfaces. Mr. Kishi is owner of ACROGE Furniture which means "beyond generations" he makes custom-made furniture, and as his website states; his furniture “will be passed down for generations to come.” Mr. Kishi’s workshop was sponsored by the Northeast Woodworkers Association (Milan Fiske Memorial Lecture Series) and Suizan Japanese Saws Company. For more information, visit the Northeastern Woodworkers Association (NWA) at www.woodworker.org/ and Mr. Kishi’s website at www.acroge-furniture.com/.
