A NYPIRG report on Small Claims Court found that while nearly 80 percent of claimants said they had won their cases, nearly 75 percent of the winners failed to collect a cent of their judgments - worse than when NYPIRG did its first survey four decades ago. Attorney Russ Haven of NYPIRG discusses the report with Mark Dunlea for Hudson Mohawk Magazine. Small Claims Court cases include tenant-landlord disputes, homeowners' issues with contractors, wage theft, and consumer ripoffs.
