DEC Seeking Comments On Iroquois Pipeline Expansion

The “Iroquois Pipeline Company” wants to drastically increase the amount of gas they push through their 37-year-old, 414-mile fossil gas pipeline running from the Canadian border to Long Island and NYC. They are seeking a permit from the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) to double the size of four toxic and noisy gas compressor stations that have long polluted disadvantaged, working-class communities in Dover and Athens, NY.
