Hear about a new program to help low-income folks build wealth and support new businesses. Linda MacFarlane, executive director of the Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region, explains how the commercial building at 153 S. Pearl St. in Albany's South End is being developed as a "Community Investment Trust" to be collaboratively owned by local low-income investors. She also describes the many services offered by the Loan Fund throughout 11 regional counties to help low-income, BIPOC, and other folks create and run a small business. Those include training, technical assistance, workshops, online resources, and -- of course -- loans.
