Welcome to the long awaited (by us) Crysis Marathon. Crysis is a game which I have wanted to feature on HPAW since it came out, however, my PC never had the power until now. It wasn’t that my computer couldn’t handle Crysis at max settings, it’s that it couldn’t handle recording Crysis at the same time. The framerate was just to low to even play.

Now a new video card and quad core cpu later, the problem with recording is not “gone” but now the game remains playable. Turning down the settings was always an option but I don’t think anything but max settings really show off the true beauty and excellent design that Crysis has to offer. To compliment this I am using better encoding settings than normal, including a raised bitrate and a slower, higher quality encoding method.

The marathon features Mempf, Teclis and Kaisuke and runs from the start of the game until the end. Parts will be split up in 40-45min sections due to a potential YouTube HD bug we are working around. As usual parts will be uploaded one by one over the course of the coming weeks.
