062 Working From Home

Whether we were ready for it or not, the pandemic forced us to make changes in our workplace. Prior to 2020, a lot of organizations had strong feelings against working remotely. Most managers felt that their business unit could not function with a remote workforce. Today, we find that notion to be the opposite. Thanks to platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams, virtual meetings have now become the norm. In addition, business owners quickly realized the savings in expenses when a large office space is no longer necessary. The cost in utilities dramatically decreased while moral from employees trended more positive by working remotely.

"To me, business is a series of actions taken and results that come from it. So as long as the results are being met, who cares if the action is not at the workplace. The action could be taken at a coffee shop. I've gotten tons of work done at Starbucks. The results is the bottom line. As long as that result is there. Ultimately, the action or where the action take place, to me is becomes a lot less relevant." Keitoh Spears on working from home.
