Welcome to The Fintech Founder Journey, where we explore great FinTech products, businesses and leaders.

I’m your host, Mike Scott, co-Founder and CEO of Nona Digital. Nona Digital is an expert firm that accelerates product development for FinTech & Blockchain scaleups.

In today's show, I’m joined by Matt Baxby, CEO of Revolut Australia and we’ll be talking about his journey and insights in the Fintech space.

Working with us to accelerate your FinTech product means you get access to our expert product squads that cover development, UI and UX, product ownership and architecture, and that have been building products together for a very long time.

You get the benefit of a 40 person studio that is big enough for no key person dependencies to exist but small enough so that you are always close to one of the principals. And, you get the benefit of our reusable component library which means we are often able to build your product faster than anyone else could at a comparable standard.

As one of our clients said, “Nona is the type of business that paints the back of the wardrobe…because if you want to be the best, that's the sort of thing that you do”.

To get in touch with one of our principals or myself, head over to our website to book a call directly.

My guest today is Matt Baxby who has got a massive amount of experience in the world of finance.

Matt started his career as a solicitor in Australia. After two years he moved to London to take up a role with Virgin as an Investment Manager after which he became the Investment Director.

His next role was Commercial and Strategy Director at Virgin Money which later developed into Managing Director at Virgin Money Australia.

In 2012 Matt moved over to the Bank of Queensland as their CFO. Today, Matt is the CEO of Revolut Australia.

It's unlikely that Revolut needs much of an introduction. In case you are not familiar, Revolut is one of the most successful Fintechs on the planet, building a global financial super app. They have over 15 million customers and process more than 100 million transactions per month. They aim to help their customers improve their financial health, give them more control, and connect them seamlessly across the world.

As if Matt is not doing enough, he also has four kids. Matt and I share a passion for cycling, and I have no doubt that we will have a great conversation.

Welcome to the show, Matt.
