How have you not seen A Clockwork Orange?

In this episode, we watch the controversial Stanley Kubrick film "A Clockwork Orange", based on the novel of the same name by Anthony Burgess. Hayley and Andy chat about the film's controversies, why it has stood the test of time, plus the usual bucketload of trivia and alternative castings! Andy also gets the release date wrong and therefore all of the Oscars chat is complete nonsense, with "The French Connection" winning Best Picture in 1971.

In an England of the future, Alex (Malcolm McDowell) and his "Droogs" spend their nights getting high at the Korova Milkbar before embarking on "a little of the old ultraviolence," while jauntily warbling "Singin' in the Rain." After he's jailed for bludgeoning the Cat Lady to death, Alex submits to behavior modification technique to earn his freedom; he's conditioned to abhor violence. Returned to the world defenseless, Alex becomes the victim of his prior victims.
