Dave Seaman is a DJ, producer, artist, label boss and, as ex-editor of Mixmag, a genuine dance music historian. Collecting records and entertaining local youth clubs quickly lead to a visit to the 1987 DMC convention where a teenage Dave won a trip to New York that helped launch his career at Mixmag. From there Dave had chart success as one half of Brothers In Rhythm and became an architect of the Progressive House scene via his association with Renaissance and Global Underground. In this chat, you'll hear exactly what happened on that fateful trip to NYC, how he oversaw the birth of acid house and rave culture during his time at Mixmag, how technology has helped further his craft as an artist and how he is always looking for new projects that can continue to deliver the excitement he needs to move forward in this scene.
