This week I’m looking at an artist, who, I knew very little about before deciding deliberately to look into her. She’s one of the best rappers of all time, one of the highest charting females and in her prime was undeniable, but yet I’m sure lots of people now don’t know her music well.
She rose alongside Nas and Jay-Z. She was famous at the age of 16 and by the time she was 18 she’d sold over 2million copies of her records. She’s also the one artist Nicki Minaj credits above all others as an influence.
This is an episode about talent. As told via the journey of Foxy Brown.
