Never thought I'd be happy to see you again.

Episode Background

Justin and Aaron both recently played through two of the more prominent motion game releases of 2011 in Skyward Sword and The Gunstringer. These two games are arguably the best implementation of motion gaming that have tried to appeal to both serious gamers and casual gamers alike. For all of their advances, both games left Justin and Aaron with more than a few questions about the future of motion games.

This episode is recommended for anyone with an interest in the evolution of motion games and ideas about where the games may be headed. The discussion of both games is spoiler free, and while it may help if you have played one or both of the games, it certainly isn’t required to be able to follow along with the conversation.
