Let My People Worship part 5

Worship Will Get You Out:

Exodus 12:31 New Living Translation – Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron during the night. “Get out!” he ordered. “Leave my people—and take the rest of the Israelites with you! Go and worship the Lord as you have requested.”

Principle: Worship makes problems begin to dissipate.

Principle: The transformative power of God‘s presence is released in our lives as we worship.

Worship Will Cleanse You:

Exodus 19:14 New Living Translation – So Moses went down to the people. He consecrated them for worship, and they washed their clothes.

Principle: When we worship we are putting our heart and our motions in this atmosphere that cleanses us and makes us new again.

1 Peter 5:7 New King James Version – casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7 New Living Translation – Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Worship Sets Us Apart:

Principle: Worship makes us compatible with God’s purposes and less compatible with the world.

Worship is Exclusive:

Exodus 20:5 New Living Translation – “You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other god’s…

Principle: When you truly worship God, it forces every other idol out of your life.

John 14:6 New Living Translation – Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Exodus 23:24 New Living Translation “You must not worship the gods of these nations or serve them in any way or imitate their evil practices. Instead, you must utterly destroy them and smash their sacred pillars.”

Worship Is Very Focused:

Principle: Don’t get distracted in your worship. Keep the focus on God.

Bonus Thoughts on Worship:

Worship is saying, “I want more”.

Principle: Worship is a hunger for more of God.
