Miraculously, God the Father delivered humankind from the penalty of sin. His love, grace, and mercy provided to those who believe in the person and work of Jesus Christ, an opportunity to be with Christ forever. We can't earn it, and we don't deserve it. This positional eternal state of being was granted to us by God himself.

Romans 6:23 (NKJV) says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." While we were sinners, Christ atoned for our sins. We are free from the penalty of sin, its power, and its consequences. Hallelujah, to God be the Glory!
