In this episode we were lucky enough to sit down with Captain Paul Dixon of To The Point Charters based out of Montauk, New York. Captain Dixon is a pioneer when it comes to targeting Striped Bass on the flats in the northeast. Many of his tactics are what we use today, and those tactics came from days upon days of learning the hard way.
Paul has been at the forefront of Striped Bass conservation, most notably with his work with Jamie Howard and the film Running the Coast. Paul was also on ESPN's Guide House, the first fishing reality show that featured guides in Montauk during the fall run and their day to day activities.
When Paul is not guiding in Montauk, he can be found in Key Largo, Florida where he guides for tarpon, permit, and bonefish, and anything else that swims.
