This week we review the highly anticipated novel from Alexander Freed, Alphabet Squadron. Following a ragtag group of Imperial defectors and war-ravaged veterans, Freed’s book recounts action in the early days following the Battle of Endor and Return of the Jedi. We discuss each of the characters and how their arcs remind us of old stories as well as paving a new path for new stories and revelations. Plus, Blaine brings up a great point about how Star Wars has shifted how it writes about war since 9/11 and Josh paints a picture of what the next two books could look like post-The Rise of Skywalker. We really loved this book and we think you should, too!
