This week, we are bringing you the first installment of a two-episode discussion of Star Wars: From a Certain Point Point of View, a volume of collected short stories that tell the story of A New Hope from 40 different points of view, and more specifically, from the perspectives of 40 minor characters that appear throughout the film. And to top it all off, each story in the book is written by a different author. This is such a fun and unique idea, yet it is hardly without precedent in the Star Wars EU. From a Certain Point of View draws inspiration from Kevin J. Anderson’s Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina, Tales from Jabba’s Palace, and Tales of the Bounty Hunters. The story of Star Wars has almost always been about the often overlooked people, aliens, and places that populate the galaxy far, far away, and it’s so good to see that tradition carried on with From a Certain Point of View. We also discuss the release of the new trailer and the Battlefront II Beta.
