He decided to move to LA after a few years in the Bay Area and immediately started working some of the best clubs in southern California including the Improv. But it was back in 2003 when Gary attended a taping of the Late Late Show w/ Craig Kilborn that things changed. Gary saw a comic entertaining the audience before the show and realized that would be a great fit for his persona. His first warm up gig in fact was at the Kilborn show. It was that show that lead to many others including Craig Ferguson, Carson Daly, Dancing w/ the Stars, Americas Got Talent and others. But it was in 2011 when comedian Steve Byrne called him to do warm up on his new TBS show called Sullivan & Son when Gary jumped from doing warm up on talk shows to sitcoms. During Sullivans three season run, Gary and Steve became close friends and has lead to Gary opening for Steve on the road. Their chemistry and comedic bond was the inspiration for the podcast. In addition to working with Steve, Gary is proud to say he has been to Iraq entertaining the troops and is currently the audience warm up for the Conan O'Brien show on TBS.
