Tanya Deans started hiking in Switzerland on weekends as a way to spend quality outdoor time with her husband and infant son.  As an English-speaking American in Switzerland, she found gathering information in English about many of the hikes difficult.

With more and more hikes under her belt, and with her passion for hiking growing,  she created a blog to provide other English-speakers with the essential information she wished she had been able to find.

Tanya firmly believes that hiking doesn't have to be challenging - an easy stroll in the country is enough to appreciate the beauty that Switzerland has to offer - and she encourages everyone to give it a try.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced hiker, are hiking with children or without, prefer to stroll beside lakes or tackle ridge-top trails, Tanya assures us that there is a hike in Switzerland suitable for everyone.

In this episode of the Holidays to Switzerland Travel Podcast, Tanya shares her favourite Swiss hikes and her top tips for anyone planning to hike in Switzerland.
