Launched on 14th April 2021, exactly 100 days ahead of the Tokyo Olympic Games, Hockey Te Charcha is a special podcast series launched by Hockey India - the governing body for hockey in India - to provide a unique experience to relive the glorious moments of Indian hockey by listening to the iconic players who have brought glory to the nation.


After a candid chat with hockey legends Harbinder Singh and V Baskaran in the first and second episode respectively, we spoke with Helen Mary Innocent, one of the most successful women's hockey goalkeepers in the history of Indian hockey.


In this episode dedicated to legendary player and national coach Maharaj Krishan Kaushik who lost his battle to covid-19 related complications on 8 May 2021, you can hear Helen Mary talk about MK Kaushik's role in grooming and recognizing young players. Helen fondly recollects training under MK Kaushik, a task master, who worked with the Indian men and women's hockey teams in the capacity of a coach.
