This week we're staying with the Great War but coming to to dry land, or at least very wet and muddy land. But is it? This week we welcome Historian and Battlefield Guide Dan Hill who wants to rage that TRENCH LIFE IS NOT 4 YEARS OF MUD AND LICE.

We'll be discussing the realities of trench rotation, how long someone spends on the front line, the odds of taking part in a 'Big Push' and how officers are not there to throw their soldiers' lives away to move their drinks cabinet closer to Berlin.

You can follow Dan's work in the battlefields at his website www.danhillmilitaryhistorian.com or www.battleguide.co.uk and you can, of course, follow him on Twitter @danhillhistory
