This week we discuss a historical topic totally new to us that just so happens to confirm all of our previous geopolitical narratives. After the UK and CIA stoked ethnic conflict between Greek and Turkish Cypriots throughout the 1950s and 60s, Turkey invaded Cyprus to protect its people there. We get to the bottom of the story with full context going back to 1570 AD, which most accounts of this event leave out. Was Turkey the aggressor, as modern retellings often characterize, or was this complex and tragic conflict a small piece of a much bigger struggle for world domination?
