Former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev spoke on the popularity of the Indian Premiere League and the future of Test cricket during the 18th edition of the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2020. Kapil Dev said that while the IPL has provided a very good platform for the development of Indian cricketers, traditional forms of the game should be neglected. ‘Don’t just think about T20 or IPL, you have to look after first-class cricket, Tests and ODIs, the world cup winning former Indian captain said. He also urged people to continue watching Test cricket and said that the ICC should ensure that the longest format of the game does not die.
