Good doctors do more than treat symptoms. They get at the root of the problem. They find out what’s causing those symptoms. The Apostle Paul does that with us this morning. The church in Philippi had some symptoms: backbiting, bickering, and forming cliques. Paul doesn’t just address those symptoms. He gets at the deeper issue that is causing them—for the Philippians and for us.
