There is a danger that exists in all of our spiritual lives to place confidence and comfort in our good deeds. Too often, without realizing it, we can begin to do so many good things that we start to see them as trophies we can present before God. However, Paul has walked down this road before, and he wants to warn us that unless we are seeking to know the person, power, and passion of Christ that those trophies might very well be trash.
