Sermon Summary:
When we are hurting, what do we want others to say to us? For most of us we want people to say something comforting, something that will make us feel better. And that’s okay. We need comfort. In I Peter, Peter brings comfort to those who are hurting. But in the passage we’ll look at today, Peter also challenges the people of his day and us to be holy, to fight against sin in our lives. Is Peter not being very sensitive? Why does holiness matter when we are hurting?
