She was mighty big compared to me and the other little Girl Scouts in our camp unit and she was real mean and racist too! I was scared of her and so were the other girls.Especially after she made a point of telling me and my girlfriend what she was going to do to us. It made me tremble. Little did I realize I was going to have to fight her to protect my self and my girl friend, nor did I know I had the will to WIN! You see it was the late 50's and my girlfriend and I had been chosen to be the first two African-American Girl Scouts to integrate Girl Scout Camp, Ann Bailey, up in the mountains of West Virginia. Oh boy, what an experience that was, especially having to face and fight that big bully, Peanuts. Wait till' you hear what happened ... all I can say is, "the bigger they come, the harder, they fall!"
