We watched Cowboy Shows back in the 1950s down in the hills. I was only seven years old and my brother was eight. We loved Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Lash La Rue, the Lone Ranger and Tonto, Gabby Hayes, and many more. They were our only heroes, and that's what I wanted to be when I grew up - a Cowgirl! My brother wanted to be a Cowboy too. Why, we were going to go out west and fight with our cowboy and cowgirl heroes. One Christmas, we received a special surprise that helped us to make our dream come true!
