In Episode 98 of the “High Regard Show,” “From Dark to Light," we speak to artist Marshall Arisman, whose career retrospective, "An Artist's Journey from Dark to Light," will be at SVA Chelsea Gallery in New York through Sept. 16.

Marshall, who has been on the SVA faculty for the past 52 years, speaks about the lasting influence of his Sundays with his grandmother in Lily Dale, a haven for mystics and spiritualists in Upstate New York, how he came to paint only with his hands instead of a brush and why Trump is too dark even for him, despite spending his 45-year career walking the fine line between good and evil in his work.

In “Roly Poly Roarty,” Tom talks about dealing with the chronic sleeplessness that comes with POTS syndrome, how his latest visit with his bariatric surgeon went and — because someone has to — post-bariatric surgery bathroom habits.
