We are very excited to have Aliyah Coreana (@aliyahart), a Multidisciplinary Artist specialising in illustration, animation, graphic design and editing to join us for episode 3 of High Expectasians to discuss the Black Lives Matter movement and Asian solidarity.

This is part 2 of our two-part series regarding the Black Lives Matter movement. This is something that all of us feel strongly about because the Asian community has been guilty at times of anti-black sentiment and racism in general. Through this episode, we have reflected on our actions and tried to look at how as Asians we can support the movement. We feel the need to not only show our solidarity but to actively contribute to the movement by educating ourselves and others as to how to be anti-racists.

*Please note that the following episode contains language which some listeners may find distressing. Trigger warning: racism.*

p.s. due to COVID-19, we had to record at our respective homes so the audio quality of each person is not the same. Also, the podcast is in no way a personal attack on anyone but rather an understanding of what we could do better as a community. Thank you for your patience!
