Join David and Jack for a chat with Auryn Macmillan about decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs). Auryn is product lead at Gnosis, who are building new market mechanisms for decentralised finance as well as DAO tooling. He goes into detail about the meritocratic rise of DAOs, as well as the benefits of their transparency for particular organisations. Auryn also talks about the pitfalls of DAOs when it comes to smaller decision making, and potential opportunities to troubleshoot it.
Gnosis has created a malleable DAO framework (GnosisDAO) in which its mechanism can be easily changed as required through one transaction. Auryn also teases some exciting future projects, including a potential Ethereum lite client written in solidity.
