My guest this week is Daniel Evans, writer, editor-in-Chief, publisher and general guy in charge at The LaGrange Daily News, here in LaGrange, and the Valley Times News, over in Valley, Alabama. Daniel sat down and talked with me over the phone for about 35 minutes this Father’s Day weekend about the newspaper business, and more importantly the LaGrange paper’s recent articles about COVID-19 and Troup county’s meteoric rise to the top of multiple New York Times lists for COVID-19 ‘hot spots.’ We also discuss the efficacy of mask wearing, if you’re still on the fence about that issue.

I then take a lighter note and, after the break, take a note of how he came to LaGrange, GA from Selma, AL 3 years ago with a wife who was 8 months pregnant. That created some stories I’m sure you’ll want to hear.
