Penny is a Scientist, swimmer, STEM advocate, AAUW & Co- Founder AWIS Oregon and member, speaker, mentor, & animal lover. She is a research and development scientist with track record of innovation with new products, technologies, assay development, & applications, proficient in flow cytometry, cell biology, tissue culture, microscopy, high content screening, and laboratory management. She has launched multiple high profile new products and is an inventor of 3 patents. She has over 4 years of experience in a clinical medical laboratory performing Toxicology screening and confirmation testing. She is currently active in AWIS, AWIS-Oregon (https://www.awis.org/project/oregon-affiliate-group/) , AAUW, COACh, ISAC, ICCS with previous membership in IWin, Women's Employee Resource Group, the Community Action Council, and Innovation Nation.
